Have you been thinking about creating an info product? Or are you just about to start work on your fifth, or even fifteenth, information product? If so, there are some product creation secrets that can make the process easier for you.

Creating an info product can be intimidating, even for someone who's done it before. But the truth is that a lot of people make product creation much harder than it has to be. So here are some tips to keep in mind.

Longer Isn't Always Better

Depending on how much you intend to charge for your product, you might think you have to create an ebook that's at least a hundred pages long, or a video course that covers 20 or 30 hours of material. But the fact is that your product doesn't have to be all that long, or take that long to create, in order to turn a tidy profit. Customers don't care about length as much as the information you are providing. Give them good information they can use to get the results they desire, and they will happily pay top dollar for an eight page ebook or one hour video tutorial.

Can You Increase the Perceived Value?

The perceived value of your product can make a huge difference not only in how many you will sell, but how much you can charge. For example, take a typical ebook. It could be filled with tons of great information. But if you recorded that information and sold it in an audio format, you could charge more for it. Why? Because many of your customers will perceive an audio download or CD as being more valuable than "another ebook." And presenting the information on video is perceived as having an even higher value, so you could charge even more.

When creating an information product, the format you choose to present it in can make a world of difference, and greatly increase your profits.

People Will Pay for What They Can Get For Free

Read some ebooks, even really good ones, and you'll see that a lot of the information they contain is probably freely available online. So how can they make money selling what amounts to free information?

While there is a lot of information to be found on the Internet, actually finding it, and organizing it, can take a lot of time and effort. And most people just want to find the solution that will help solve their problems as quickly as possible. And information product is a quick and easy way for them to get the answers they want.

So, when searching for a topic for your product, don't worry about whether the information is freely available or not. If you put that information together in an entertaining way that's easy to understand, people will pay you for it.

If you stick to the basics, and try not to overcomplicate things, you'll see just how easy creating an info product really is.
